Turn Around, my daughter Elaine's childhood.

I made this slideshow after my daughter Elaine got married. It's only at such times you stop and realise just how fast time passes and how much things change for ever
You watch your kids asleep in their beds or playing in the garden and one day without you realising it, you turn around and they've grown up.
Thankfully over the years I have captured many images of them on my camera and in my heart.

I liken Elaine to a ray of sunshine because she is one of the most cheerfull and positive people I know.
Just to be around her makes you happy.

I happened upon your video because I was looking for this song. You did an amazing job and how wonderful you have all those memories preserved. I don't even know you and that slideshow made me tear up. You can tell the love you have for your daughter.

My girls are 5 and 3, with another on the way. I am cherishing these moments because I know it goes by all to quick.

I remember this from the Kodak TV commercials and I think it was The Brother Four or the Lettermen who sang it but never heard Nanci Griffith sing it. Thank you for sharing it. Darling child and video. My three are nearly grown and the years flew by.

@ob14u I love this song so much and your clip is amazing. Have recently dug out my old nanci cd's and fallen in love with her voice & music all over again. Recently when my 13 year old daughter was being well, 13, instead of me having words and sounding likea broken record, I led her by the hand, put on this song and we both sat and cried. It let her know how much I love & cherish her. Now excuse me while I go and have a good cry!

You have an adorable daughter. I heard this song many years ago and Nanci Griffith is my favorite version. I am sniffling right now. My boys are both grown up and I have a baby grandson.  Life goes fast.
