PHILADELPHIA - If you have kids, you know it's impossible to avoid spills. What if there was a product you could spray-on or wash your clothes in that would make them repel even the toughest stains?

Consumer reporter Michelle Buckman puts BLOX to the Deal or Dud test with one-year-old Angelina.

Angelina's mom Amanda saw the ad for BLOX and she had to know if it really worked. The ad says, "Even the toughest food stains like ketchup can't stick to BLOX, they rinse right off." Amanda worried it was too good to be true. The directions say to add BLOX to your laundry. We bought two identical t-shirts for our test, one for the control, the other one we washed in BLOX. We followed the directions, adding 4 ounces of BLOX during the rinse cycle.

Angelina enjoys a lunch of spaghetti and grape juice wearing her untreated t-shirt. The stains set in almost immediately. Next, same messy lunch, but this time she wears the shirt washed with BLOX. The directions say the liquid will roll right off, which they do! Then all you have to do is sop up the rest of the spill with a paper towel. As soon as we do that, the stain disappears. Amanda says she's impressed. "There are some light spots but nothing compared to what the other shirt was." Thicker stains should be rinsed off according to the instructions. After we rinse, there is a little evidence of Angelina's lunch, but it's not bad. Amanda declared BLOX to be a Deal and it looks like her daughter's messy eating habits could keep the company in business!

We spent $19.99 for two bottles of BLOX for laundry and one spray bottle for upholstery. Remember, you have to use 1/4 of the bottle for each load of laundry, so it will only last 4 loads. Check out the ad online or to order at http://www.preventstains.com/
