@burntheholygrounds I'm not sure what you mean by "whay and how would you measure it in mass?" This recipe which Alton uses is measured in units of mass. I'm seeking to measure it in units of volume. Further, I want to convert it from the metric system to the English/Imperial system. This is the system used in the United States (cups, ounces, pounds, feet, etc.) as opposed to the metric system which is used in most other countries (grams, liters, meters.)

i cannot believe alton didnt use real butter for this! this was before he became health conscious and lost all that weight. im sure today he would use real butter and do away with that disgusting shortening crap.
