There are many great legendary qb's, Unitas, Starr, Staubach, Theisman, Montana, many more. Personally Joe Montana has always impressed me probably the most of any, but thats just my opinion. However, Namath is probably a nudge better in my book, he just was an amazing QB and had an arm that was unbeatable, He brought the era of confidence and cool to the game that shook up the game. I tip my hat to you Joe Willie, thanks for what you did for the game you love so much.
@mastshke Just because you got a super bowl ring doesnt really matter Joe theismann has one and Phill simms has two but Joe doesn't belong in the HOF he only threw around 25,0000 yards and only threw 22 tds more than ints but Phill Simms might get in someday he threw over 30,000 yards and around 40 plus tds over ints Joe namth is the most overrated QB in the hall of frame he should have never got in the HOF
No excuses but w/all the injuries he still had a great career I can't help but wonder how great he would've been with the rules & technology today or with out the busted knees, broken bones & snapped ham strings..I hate "stats guys" when he signed with the Jets the doctors told him he'd have a good 4 years & Joe was happy hah he went on to play 13 but in that 4 yrs Rookie Of the Year, 1st QB to throw for 4000 yards in 14 games, League MVP, Super Bowl MVP, Super Bowl victory that changed the game
His best days were at Alabama b4 all the knee injuries, he played in constant pain & still played for 13 yrs. They couldn't just repair knees like they do today, watch some videos he was destroyed after throwing the ball & never complained like pussy QBs today. His deep ball was unmatched, fastest feet, he used to glide b4 the injuries, 1st to pass for 4000 yards, MVP, Superbowl MVP beating one of the best teams ever. Made the sport what it is today & got the AFL respect nuff said
How in the hell did Joe get into the hall of frame his QB r was 65.5 thats not good the dumbass threw 220 ints and only 173 tds i would have bench that cross dresser!!!
