  • Flying ship notwithstanding, that was one hell of an action. Thumbs up.

    Consider holding fire after a dozen or so shots. Time and flooding will do the rest, saving you even more ammo.

  • @Frontier359 Is that the case? I had thought only through the use of a specific mod that had just been created would cause after-battle damage. Thanks for the advice!

  • It would have been quite funny if you had collided with that ship. Imagine a British newspaper saying ,,German U-Boot sunk by British merchant ship"...

  • 17:20-17:40 Sift+space fires the selected torpedo (I believe you had selected number 4?) If you use scope/uzo on your realism level, the torpedo will go where you look but since you arent using them it goes straight away

  • Could you please add a link for a mod that allows that the fire spread or at least the title of the mod on subsim.

    QUES. I will be shortly be transitioning from XP to Windows7 SP1 and I was wondering if you might tell me where to find the MOD that makes SH5 and W7 SP1 that you mentioned in Let's Play Silent Hunter V - 13?

  • XD I'm sorry but I started laughing after you said what games you have bought, and all of them [including silent hunter] are sequels.

    Yeah, march wasn't exactly full of games with completely original ideas, that's for sure.

  • @J2JonJeremy I fire an average of 30 or so AP/HE rounds on ships all the time before they sink in the vanilla game. I've allowed the ships to just sit on fire and it has never really caused them to sink. I eventually downloaded a mod that makes torpedoes and AP/HE rounds "crit" (100-400 dmg for torps I believe). Not sure about AP/HE round damage. But it got kind of ridiculous having to fire so many rounds into a ship, placing massive holes in the water line with no result.

    If you aim for the WATERLINE. Surprise surprise, FLOODING WILL HAPPEN.

    If you continue to aim for the HULL, than no flooding will happen. Because all damage to the ship will be above the waterline.

    Flooding = quick destroy.
