FREE workout (no equipment required) at that url.

We've already talked about perfect pull up technique. But what if you can't YET do your first pull up? Here's a trick you can use to add an "assist" to your pull ups without a training partner or fancy equipment.

The secret is to use a stretch band to help overcome gravity and give yourself a little "cheat" to your pull ups. This allows you to practice perfect form without struggling against excessive resistance.

Our favourite tool for this is at http://www.mygyminabag.com, but you can use any high quality stretch bands designed for use in sports training.

Enjoy!

  • @CSTnorth You need a publicist brother, all types of killer info, bomb ideas etc., and 26 views??? People love this stuff, you've gotta get the word out to more of them. Anyhow, thx for the idea, Im able to perform 17 regular grip pullups non stop (I weigh 190 lb, not bad right?) and my ultimate goal is 25 pullups so I'll definitely try this next workout.

  • @N1k1mon - Thanks man! :) 17 pull ups is damned good. Glad you liked the vid.

  • very helpful vid, i'll try it!

  • nC body!!!

  • @N1k1mon Oops...forgot to say, I put my body through the loop then feet up onto the chair's top so im in a reverse row position, I tweek the placement of the chair to change the angle. With good muscle/mind abilitiy a person can figure how to work their entire back with this setup and your band method.

    cheers

  • @cstnorth

Damn that band method is tight!! Its perfect for finishing a regular set...also I put it under my back and positioned a chair a couple feet back from the bar and use it for doing reverse bent rows ( I have the Perfect Pullup doorway bar with alternate handles).

A bomb set of pullups is 5 regular - 5 Chinup -5 Wide -5 Close grip WITHOUT letting go, use the time switching hands to hopefully shake out the weakness and it really builds you up.
