I used to have two of them. They were so cute. I got two thinking they were the same sex, but when I got home one was a girl and one was a boy, so they had to live separately. Their names were Johnny and Devi. Most people have never heard of an african pygmy mouse. I love youtube, they have everything.

It's nice to see them being well cared-for! I raise domestic mice and red-backed voles. The originals were presents from my cats. They socialise very well together. Incidentally- it was Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel who created the piano form "songs without words". Felix, her brother, appropriated it and didn't give her credit. Spring Song was very popular up until the 1930's or so, when it became popular to lampoon it.

I found a website where you can submit questions to experts, and I've already received a reply. Here is his answer regarding this music. I was quite wrong about it, by the way!
"It is one of Mendelssohn's many 'Songs Without Words.' This one is Opus 62, No. 30, 'Frülingslied' or 'Spring Song'. You'll hear many arrangements, but the one you found is the original."
NOTE: Felix Mendelssohn lived from 1809 to 1847.
So there. Now we know!
