  • For anyone who sees this video and thinks that it's foolish, or that God doesn't exist...I disagree, partially. Yes, I'm agnostic. But this scene in the movie (and especially the monarch right after) really spoke to me. I didn't view it as religious. I viewed it as a man who feels abandoned, betrayed by his 'Creator'. A man who feels like he has nothing left, and then realizes that he has everything left, can still fulfill his dream, and that dying would be pointless.

  • A deep and wonderful scene with epic dialogue in terms of man conversing with his Creator!! I firmly recommend that You watch the entire movie, especially the part when Patch and the girlfriend are in a particular conversation. Then you will totally understand the "appearance of the butterfly" and cry tears of joy! This is a very powerful scene, but it is much more intensified when viewed in proper sequence as it relates to the movie itself! Please take my advice and watch the entire movie!!

  • EL O' EL (LOL)

This is the atheist edited version where the butterfly doesn't appear to show there might be hope and a point to this. XDD

  • Nice but you forgot to include the most important part of the scene...

  • People who don´t like that movie don´t have compassion.

  • Damn... That was exactly how I felt the last time I tried to take my life... My Mom+Dad and all 5 of my siblings never told me they loved me throughout all my life and I am 25 years old right now. So i lived all those years on my own... I did the exact same thing, stood on the edge of a cliff, contemplated life... then thought... I've suffered 1/4 of my life... and lived through it... if I live to be 100... I will, because... you're not worth it... you're not worth my life... I'll live it for me

  • I think anyone who comments negatively /argues about this scene should really reconsider. This is not about anything other then exploring the "meaning of it all". As a person who has "stood at the edge of the cliff" and asked the same question...this scene and indeed movie spoke volumes. NO ONE knows what is right or wrong, it is for each individual person to desipher for themselves. Glad the movie clip was put up, lovely. Thank you, I love the music too x

  • @KyoSohma221 Well in reality there is no RIGHT or WRONG. For instance, if you take a baby and grow them up in a forest without any human species they wouldn't understand RIGHT or WRONG. Example: If he was hungry and was looking for food and another human being came out of no where and tried to steal his rabbit he would kill them without blinking an eye. Society and culture create RIGHT and WRONG. Not only do they create right and wrong but it will influence the way you think..bottomline.

  • OMg why did you left out the butterfly??? This scene is not complete without it!

  • @project17productions he did turn his back on god before he saw the butterfly..THEN he came back to god... not everyones had that butterfly moment., and I don't care so much for the butterfly scene, and for those saying he cut off the best part where he sees the butterfly...Maybe this is the part that spoke to him, maybe he still feels abandonned...AND to be fair reincarnation isnt part of the Christian cycle..so it wouldn't be your all loving non compassionate let kids starve in africa god here

  • i love this movie

  • Way to go, cutting the clip to make Robin Williams look like he's completely turning his back on God in the scene... you left out the best part of the whole clip, when he sees the butterfly.
