http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk The Powerlever was originally developed to duplicate the pattern of the traditional standing barbell curl for biceps and forearms. This has been accomplished in probably the best arm curl machine you"ll ever feel. It was also discovered that the unique scissors type lever arm motion provides the perfect patterns for many strength building exercises such as rows, shrugs, cleans, deadlifts, push ups and even squats

  • Thinking about it, this has two main purposes that a regular bar doesn't have.

    1) it's lifted off the ground so you can change weights easier

    2) it has a padded cushion to hold up the bar, which means you can drop the the bar without it messing up your floor or damaging your weights

  • I don't understand this piece. 1/ It doesn't make any exercise possible that can't already be done with a barbell alone. 2/ It doesn't support the bar off the ground for easier starts, stops, & changes. 3/ It doesn't make any of these exercises safer than with the barbell alone. can anyone explain an advantage to this thing?

  • This isn't stupid. It's a good mix between a machine and freeweights.

  • Useless invention, all of these exercises can be done with a simple bar, Powertec Power Lever, that apparatus so stupid.

  • I own about 5 pieces of Powertec Equipment: Leverage Squat, Rack, HyperExtension, Lat machine and accessories. But this thing has tp be the stupidest useless piece of work they must have produced. I hope it is not made anymore. Just use a barbell...
