@729Drew you couldn't be any more wrong....Beltran is the main reason the Mets went anywhere in 06....and check his playoff numbers from 06 and compare them to no show wright....not to mention the Mets were winning alot more before the Beltran trade....he never had a fair shake here while every excuse in the world has been made for Mr unclutch spaghetti arm David Wright

I couldn't agree more with Benigno. Watching him everyday changes your perception of him. I never felt like he played with any kind of intensity as a Met. He does whatever he wants. The poorly timed surgery, the jogging down the first base line, the leisurely strolls in center field drove me nuts about Beltran. I'm really glad the Giants didn't watch him everyday. Otherwise, the Mets would have never netted Zack Wheeler.
