In this video I explain the difference between a regular miter saw and a compound miter saw. I also discuss ways to handle long stock and show various saw blades and talk about storing them.

  • nice video..

as for that saw blades holder.. you could have made the plywood a lil taller above the blade's hight and made a hole like holder to make it even easier to carry around..

  • I keep it on a shelf, no room to go up... flip up stanley handle is on the backside

  • I like the sawbuck the best. You'd have to be a real cheap ass not to spend the money and build one. I don't like cutting rebar with the same miter saw that I use for wood. The steel dust tends to muck up the saw. I'm glad that you're doing these tutorial just as you said you were when I met you at SouthTube. I'll be watching.

  • Actually, I have a chop saw that I use to cut metal, but not everybody is able to own the arsenal of tools that I have at my disposal. I showed the abrasive blade because It will work on a miter saw in a pinch.

  • Interesting tutorial. I look forward to more.

    Moosie

  • I hope you find these tutorials useful.
