Bear fans want to believe that and repeat that giant Kodiak bears and polar bears will dominate any cat. Which is funny because even the book they use "California Grizzly", it states in just about every account the Mountain Lion destroys the bear, every source, every account, cougars dominate grizzlys and blackies. Even the "Great Bear Almanac" states Cougar always triumph over bears. It's so funny because that account where they state a bear killed a African lion with one paw swipe, comes from California grizzly, a book stating a pretty much a bear is not match to a mountain lion. I researched that and you know what I found, every account, every source, every encounter know to man kind is in favor of the mountain lion. Everything favors the Cougar over the bear. I also know of 3 cougar bear fights in which the cougar dominated not on video, but I'm not gonna waste the money just yet and upload them. It's truely funny these bear fans, they keep ranting about imaginary thoughts that cougars will be destroyed by grizzlys. When every piece of evidence known to man kind is in favor of the cougar. Go figure. An for that grizzly bear killing African Lion account from California grizzly with a single a paw swipe. I have many african lion accounts let's just say....Same thing Tiger prey on adult male brown bears, several cases of adults being taken. Males weighing well over 750 lbs. But bear fans want to dream and quote made up sites, that only bears are taken in hiberation, That's false. There are many recent cases of adult male brown bears being killed by amur tigers, but not one modern case of the opposite. Not one. All evidence points to the cougar, yet bear fans insist on having it the other way.

An Male Cougar vs wolf, it's a joke. It's such a mismatch, I'm not even going to bother talking about it. Wolves are prey items of cougars. Only with the pack can wolves kill young and female cougars, it's very very rare, but has happened. On the other hand cougars kill and eat wolves all the time. Only can a pack of wolves challenge a tom cougar, and still there risking losing pack members if they do.

You obviously didn't do much research on wolves. It is a fact that when there are wolves in an area there are either no cougars are very uncommon. And like you said you can not deny facts.

@johntvette Felines more intelligent than canines? They are both extremely intelligent but canines have the edge. A cougar not fighting a pack of wolves isn't intelligence, its more instinct. Just as a lone wolf would never attack a cougar on its own terms. Though cats are a more intelligent than they are given credit for, and their solitary nature has also made a reputation for them being less intelligent than they are, canines are just more complex and smarter.

@TheElEmEntPSN Rare? They share the same ranges. The Northern Rockies, Sierra's, Yellow stone, Yosemite, etc., they encounter each other quite often. What is rare is a confrontation. They are all predators, if any of them is injured in a fight, they will die, as they can not hunt successfully when injured. They are sharp enough to avoid confrontations unless absolutely necessary. It comes down to the one who scores the first decisive blow, who wins.
