  • you tend to forget that they were a band,Marc wasnt a solo artist,you often forget that

  • Not forgotten at all , it was Marc Bolan and T.Rex

    Marc wrote the songs , sung them , played rythmn and lead guitars and some of the backing vocals .

    He employed other musicians , yeah great ones no doubt , but it was always The Marc Bolan show , anyone who played with Marc was a T.Rex member. Steve Tooke God bless him was replaced because he thought he had a say in the music . Marc was a solo artist who surrounded himself with great musicians.

  • well i guess he was a solo artist within a band,kinda like Hendrix was.Solo yet in a band..

  • Good call.

    Yeh! The Jimi Hendrix Experience .

    @adolfmcfuck

  • Bolan, would have written another...? how many songs had he lived. That is what I miss...What would have been.

  • töten Sie alle Hippien

  • Excellent! I saw T Rex in Liverpool in May 1971, introduced by Bob Harris as the Space Kidettes.

    What a great loss.

  • Bolan also pick up a few strays in his band, ie Gloria. Otherwise, I liked everyone else. The yell at 3:14 was like the one he did on The Wizard, off the brown album entitled simply TREX. I for some strange reason have trex on my top shelf of rock artists, what a unique sound.

  • im a guitarist singer writer like them both,thats my sort of thing as well,sorta solo but yet in a band,Hendrix Bolan style.I actually live 30mins away from the cemetry where Marc's buried.Went to visit once,but it was Shabbat so couldn't get in.Chuck Berry,,Hendrix,Led Zep,Marc,Suzi Quatro,those are my people..
