Yeah... I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled this shot. With the built in ND filters, it was very easy to get a decent exposure... and having the black composition set to "compress" really crushed the background black into a nice, solid, velvety smoothness. I just uploaded another clip (test #5) of the moon with the digital extender on... producing an equivalent 40x zoom. It actually came out looking pretty good.
That's pretty fucking good. I guess this helps answer my concerns about the FX1k
