@caseyjonesfan I am getting mine this friday. I researched them , and like everyone else said they are a little pricey , yet calm ,and dont smell one little bit. just resaerch the kind you want , and go for it! they are (like FlowOfMemories said) , worth every penny!

@caseyjonesfan i got mine about two weeks ago but i say just ask your mom if u can keep it in your room and u take total care of it, u just need a twenty gallon tank, a suction cup thermometer, some heating lights, maybe some rocks, and a platform they can walk on which might cost you 350$ but like flowofmemory said they're worth every cent! :D

I've had a red ear slider for half a year now, and he never stinks though... Actually he never smells like anything at all XD They're very clean pets too. Just really expensive to take care of. I've spent a little over $500 on mine so far x_x But he's worth every cent.
If u still wanna pet turtle, I say wait till u got a good amount of money ^^~ ur mom can't keep u from having one forever =P

i wish my mom would let me get turtles she says they stink and she dosent want them in her house and i even told her they would go outside during the warm months she still says no so i watch turtle vids like this alot im thinking of sneaking one this summer probbaly not worth it tho
