    This song,to me at least, is about a man with low self-esteem/confidence who is in love with a woman. He puts on a front and is more worried about doing something bad to lose a girl rather than just be open, honest, and himself. Finally at the end of the song he finally gives in "You know I dreamed about you for 29 years before I saw you"...My favorite song of all time. Pure, raw emotion.
