CHELSEA RAE
Every once in a while we have the privilege to be able to reach out to people in our community. Through a series of mutual friends we received a request for us to be able to meet a young girl who was battling cancer in our home town of Portland, OR. As we rolled through town on tour several of us from the band were able to break away for a short while to visit Chelsea Rae who was being cared for at Doernbecher Children's hospital. We played a few acoustic songs, signed a few autographs, and did what we could to brighten the day of a young girl who had fought through more difficulties than any 13 year old should ever have to see. Seeing her smile was all the reward we needed, and we left both saddened by her difficult situation but exceedingly glad that we could make a difference and bring encouragement to both Chelsea and her family. We were able to see her a couple more times at shows in the Portland area, and we corresponded with her family via email where we received updates of her condition. Sadly, we recently received the final email containing these updates and we were so moved by it, that we felt that it should be shared with all of you. We would ask that you all be in prayer for Chelsea's family and that you would take the time this holiday season to remember the things that we truly love and care about. Give your mom, dad, son, or daughter an extra hug, knowing that life is short, and every moment we have together is precious.

  • I have the honor of being Chelsea Rae's aunt. This video touches my heart every time I see it. Seeing her Grandpa praying with and baptizing her, seeing her with her great-grandma and with my children remind me of how much we love and miss her. Her impact is great but she would be the first to point to Jesus as her strength and the center of her faith. Thank you, Kutless, for touching her life in such a God-glorifying way!

  • She's with God forever now!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll all see her again one day.

  • This is really sad. I read the description box and I just stared crying like she was someone VERY, VERY close to me. I didn't even know her.

And, not trying to get off subject... but what song is this?

  • what is the name of this songg

  • Will at least she is in her real home with God

  • @TheNotSoPerfectAngel not cool....

  • Kutless is an awesome christian group. I like the songs on there albums. Back in 2,001 I lost my grandmother to cancer she was in the final stage. She was a good christian woman and she was also one of my hero's. She helped raise me and take care of me while I was growing up. I seen her go through things that know one should ever see or go through. And years later I still miss her. Its good to tell a loved one that you love them because they may not be here tomorrow Cherish every moment

  • i agree with what info Kutless gave here in the info box..the last part where it says give your mom/dad etc.. an extra hug..you never know what will happen or if that's the last time you'll see that person..i learned that the hard way heh

  • read the info box retard

  • y did they focus d song 2 chelsea? is chelsea sumwhat special to kutless?

  • I can definitely say it is a different girl. That's a tragedy as well. I am this Chelsea Rae's aunt. She was just 13 and battled osteosarcoma.
