    If the whole point is to fool penn & teller and they only get one chance to guess then by throwing in such an obvious tell it's almost a bluff. I dont know enough about magic either way to say whether or not it was a card switch but the point is to make them guess wrong so maybe thats why he did it.

    At 2:09 with his left hand he shoves a card in his pocket and at 2:56 when he gets hit and goes down, he puts his hands by his face he shove the card in his mouth, throughout the first part of his trick he was loosening the duck tape with his tongue and that's how he got the card under the ducktape

    @Juniorweed1 your right because at around

    2:15 while the one magician is showing the Three of Hearts, the one with the tape

    on his face tucks his left hand slightly behind

    him on his left side. That is the point when he

    starts folding the card, & then after the next

    run through the cards when he gets slapped

    in the back of the head he skids the tape up

    slightly & drops his jaw enough to slide the

    card in his mouth.
