@TheSpiridonoff - You do realise the rainbow doesn't actually have "seven" colours, right? And the image doesn't show three colours, either. Both a real rainbow and the simulation have a virtually infinite number of intermediate colours, showing the spectrum of the light source. Search Google Images for "natural science prism" to see some real photos.

Can you please share your settings for Caustics in scene Dispersion on pyramid? scene? What computer you used for this render, my render times are many times longer than your here? :)
@carbonhealth - V-Ray and Maxwell use completely different algorithms.

the dispersion is pretty wrong. There must be seven, not three colors.
