The person who started all of this crud is on the payroll of a competing drug. He put together a meta-analysis, which is NOT a controlled study and not accepted as proof of anything in the scientific community. You'll also notice that the date was 2007. Since then, the FDA & the NIH examined GSK's studies & said when given properly (as all drugs should be) that avandia's a safe & effective medicine. Also, info from 2 independant studies said no MIs or cardiovasc deaths were from avandia.

I am still taking avandia! Should I be concerned? I've been taking it for years! The only affect I've noted is at times it feels as though my heart is racing & won't slow down!

I was just in to see my doctor, he scheduled a stress test. because of the sharp pains I would get. my health has changed rapidly I tire easily. and I'm an active guy at 41yrs. I go in thursday dec.13th. I'll let you know the results
