I sneakily caught this soundcheck on my flipcam while Spool were still setting up for the 'proper' video, and thought I'd share it as I like it a lot - one of my favourite tracks of all time and a proper cover version...

The original is my favourite song of all time (so far at least, but unlikely to be surpassed as I was 15 when I first heard it in 1984 and the music that grabs you at that age never lets go, seemingly). This is possibly the best cover I've heard; it manages to walk that fine line between changing the original enough to conjure something new, but not so much as to lose the spirit of the original.

Absolutely brilliant - The Bunnymen were one of my favourite bands - saw them loads of times in the 80's - Hhymn are one of my favourite bands today so this is indeed a magical treat xx
