@MrBigFireDaddy really ? So the foam for parties and the foam for fire suppression are differents ?
-
@cssst5 Ok, so is there a "stopper" on the pull station ? And is it possible to set off the FOAM only by pulling a pull station ?? Is it possible from any evil person (or even a kid) to fill up the hangar with foam, just by pulling a pull station ? Thank's you for your response.

@cssst5 Yeah but you would not want to party in this stuff, the foam they use in the HEF system can give you chemical burns.

Foam Party!

Who doesn't love gigantic columbs of fire-retardant foam pouring from the heavens? That's a well thought-out system. Decimating any threat of fire AND burning fuel on the ground.

I love bubbles!!!!

that's a lot of foam, wonder what they're planning on making in this building lol
The hanger (I assume) would house aircraft. Presumably very expensive jets, that use very expensive and very, very flammable jet fuel. The foam isn't designed to cover the building (or roof). It's designed to cover the floor space, so if jet fuel does leak and ignite, it's suppressed and doesnt cause excessive damage to the hanger and aircraft. HEF wouldn't do much as far as a structural fire goes unless it filled the building completely full. Even then it wouldnt be effective.

That was a good guess. This is an aircraft hangar, maintenance facility for helicopters. Foam system is designed to cover the fire that may occur inside the building. The system is capable of filling the entire space by foam, as you see in the video it took less than 3 min to cover 3 feet. It would probably take around 20 min or so to fill the entire space by foam.

what's for is this ?

This is for bubble bath. You fill the entire space with foam and water and then you call the girls -- party all night long! So much fun...

does any one know what that one horn in the back ground is called
mojo7998 2 years ago
The frequent beep beep sound comes from the pull station cover. It's battery operated.
The other alarm sound coming from deep is called "horn strobe" and it's connected to the fire alarm panel. It goes off when the system is activated.
