stop whinging and get over it. People used to go to pubs before tobacco came to this country - it hasn't always been here in case you didn't know. Most of the places on Westgate should close anyhow, they are shit holes. Stay at home and smoke yourself to death in your nicotine stained council house and let the rest of us enjoy the benefits of the tax you pay on your cancer habit

There is nothing to get over until democracy is restored and smokers are treated like any other minority, the largest minority in this country I might add! As for your last post then it is simple, give smokers their right to bring out the ashtrays INSIDE and there would not be a problem! As for the Westgate run, the pubs are for ordinary working people to unwind and have a bit of fun, your post tells me you and your ilk don't like fun!

Smoking isn't normal you need to seek help. It's like dodging trains, one will get you in the end. The reason there's no atmosphere is because of the economic down turn & the fact you're getting older now. I think you'll find that the media have reported on this.

It was on the front of the Wakefield Express lat week.

Several landlords/landladies reported intimidation and bullying.

The pubs that did allow the smokers in were strangely not available for comment.

Jackie Hardy the chairwoman of Wakefield Licensees Pubwatch and landlady of the Jockey pub said "They were very aggressive. I think it was absolutely appalling". Alison Lund, Landlad of the Waterloo pub said "They used bullying tactics".

I was the one that took the video and there was no bullying or intimidation, we asked if we could smoke as a protest and when they said no we left, there were marshals to see that we did so, you can see one marshal getting protesters out on the More from the Westgate Run video. Everything was calm and measured. There was no political involvement from any party, only people like myself that will fight this ban until its reformed to let us smoke in venues like pubs and clubs.

Pubs here in Aberdeen have been decimated by the ban. But why not take a strong snuff instead of a cig? The hit is more or less the same.
