What a great year for Auburn . . . for me to poop on!
Let's see, Auburn loses 5 games, getting your asses kicked all over the place, home and away. Oregon loses only to #1 LSU and a close one against a great USC team, then beats Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Where's your WAR EAGLE now Gene Chizik? AUBURN IS THE WAR PIGEON!! I'd love to play a home and home with you, War Pigeon. But I doubt you'd be up for it would you? Even Georgia wouldn't commit to it. WAR PIGEON!!!

How was Auburn a disappointing team? Sure, they came off a national championship year, but when you loose your Heisman winning QB, all but one of your offensive line, your top two WRs, your blocking backs, your leading secondary members, a good portion of your linebacker core (including your defensive captain) and defensive line (including your Lombardi winning DT), and you're starting mostly sophomores and freshmen, an 8-5 record is fantastic.

@CalebAlucardtheHagan Typically, it is the "OMSR" to not get involved on the MB's vis-a-vis comments except for every once in a while - this being the type that demands correction. It was nor is not implied that Auburn ended the year "disappointing", just the difference in oh what a year makes, when you look at last year to this one.

" . . . a good game from one of the surprise ACC and disappointing SEC, teams."
"It was nor is not implied that Auburn ended the year disappointing".

@CalebAlucardtheHagan OKAY DUDE, last time I'm going to chime in . . . disappointing with respect to pre-season expectations - not to repeat necessarily, but not to have lost in some of the ways they did . . . and since I don't bleed Auburn, you'll pardon my lack of why that is/was exactly but I saw enough of Auburn this year to know enough. Hey, I put the spotlight regarding Toome's Corner on the Iron Bowl vignette Show - gimme a break - we're not anti War Eagle here. U won the bowl, nufsaid.

@HERCULEANTHOR Preseason expectations were 5-7 or 6-6, at best. And with regards to the five teams Auburn lost to, all had 10+ wins, four had home field advantage, four were SEC teams, two went to the SEC championship, and three went to or are going to BCS bowls, including the two National Championship representatives. You don't have to be an Auburn fan to know all this, nor "anti War Eagle" to be ignorant of it.

@CalebAlucardtheHagan OKAY . . . U WIN. We changed the titling and the description to be more reflective of the reality of things. We aim to please at the "OMSR" but trying to be all things to all people presents its challenges. Obviously, you know your Auburn facts however, be advised to change tactics in the sense of throwing around the term "ignorant", which is every bit as insulting as a four letter word.
