5th August 1962. The first time I heard this song I thought of Marilyn Monroe. Both her and the tune have a tragic quality that is beautiful, and transcendental. On the anniversary of her death, a tribute to my dear Marilyn.

I'm not sure I ever commented on this. It's so so lovely and wonderful for Marilyn. I love that River of No Return shot because all the men are just looking/leering at her while deep sadness is written all over her face... it reflects her life too much. My favourite shot is at 0:27- could you please tell me what film that is from? I've only got about 4 of Marilyn's films on DVD and am always wondering what others I should get. Anyway, a wonderful triibute ;)
