@Dragoondude32 You are refering to the Anglican Communion, and not the new Anglican Ordinariate? The Anglican Communion is a Protestant community, arising from the English rather than the European Reformation. It is (like all non-Catholic religions) deficient in various matters of the truth.

I've been to Anglican parishes that go red at the thought of being called Protestant, and the Bishop of Rome, is definitely highly respected in said parishes

@Dragoondude32 I've been to baptist communities who object to being called Protestant, and I've seen Catholics who support women's ordination who object to being called heretics. Calling a dog a cat doesn't make it so. It doesn't matter how much the pope is "respected" - is the parish in communion with him? If not, they are not Catholic. And the options for Christians are Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox.

@lightsand900 You misunderstand - any person who is Christian is either Catholic, or Orthodox, or Protestant. I'm not saying non-Catholic is an ACCEPTABLE option, but it is an option whereby one can still be Christian. The comment is referencing those non-Catholic Christians who object to being called "Protestant"

@ElectronicCatVICTORY Such a person is very unfortunate, and we should pray for such a person. But such a person would either be (officially) a non-Christian or a Protestant; their desire is for the truth and that is how they will be judged. But, what they actually are is not Catholic. They wish to become Catholic, but are prevented - that does not make them Catholic, it makes them someone who desires Catholicism.

and yes it is wrong for that priest to quote during the mass what a protestant person said, the priests are supposed to be the amongst the first fighters for the conversion to the CATHOLIC CHURCH, the ONLY CHURCH OF GOD!
