WW2 combat footage. German Wartime Newsreel.

The Battle of Narva was a battle, or more correctly a campaign, which took place in the first months of 1944 for city of Narva in Estonia. The battle was fought on the Eastern Front during World War II between the forces of the German Heeresgruppe Nord and the Soviet Volhkov and Leningrad Fronts.

The first phase of the battle is documented here, entitled The Battle for the Narva Bridgehead. This battle took place in the first half of 1944. The second phase of the related battles are called Battle of the Tannenberg Line.

The battle is also known as The Battle of the European SS for the large number volunteers and conscripts within the Waffen SS from Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Holland and Belgium engaged on the German side.

Although it was an overall Soviet victory, the small German force managed to hold off a Soviet advance for over several months.

  • Juudikommunism on suurim kuritegu inimkonna vastu. Ka Venelased on täpselt samuti selle all kannatanud, nagu eestlased./Jewish communism is the biggest crime against humanity. Ethnic russians have suffered because of it as much as estonians.

  • 88mm is the BEST of beast!

  • @texpna Not Russians, Jewish Bolscheviks.

  • If the sons of politicians were the first to be sent to the front lines..there'd be no war.

  • @texpna, fuck texpna!

  • Have you not understand tha soviet-jews killed 200 million peoples from 1917 to 1992? read "Communism blak book" S Courtpois, Paris 1997.Hail Baltic SS Heroes!14!88!

  • heavy infantry weapons fire and broken faces of German soldiers ... who did it and why? ... 3:18 German grenadiers sent to death .. The road is open! ... The Germans can not understand what happened 55 years ... The answer is simple. They had not been asked place.

  • The English translation in 2:38 - 2:44 is incorrect: Istrian (??) should read Estonian. (Deutche grenadiere waren zusammen mit estnischen Freiwilligen...) The number of Estonian Waffen-SS conscripts sent to the front soon exceeded by an order of magnitude the number of early "Freiwilligen".
