Part 1 gives a shelter overview; shows cattle feeding and grazing; a dog sterilization operation (using gas anesthesia machine); birth control clinic, quarantine and puppy pound; and our cat facility, surgery and adoption program.
Visakha SPCA, on the east coast of India in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh is a home for dogs, cats, turtles, monkeys, cows, buffaloes, birds, horses, and other animals. The number of animals that we rescue and treat is increasing every year. Our shelter is an eco-friendly environment as we have many plants for wildlife protection; we use and make biogas (energy from cow dung) and vermicompost. We also do community outreach for humane education, sea turtle protection and teach animal birth control methods to help dogs and cats.
This video is narrated by our shelter manager Rajeshkar with text written by Pradeep Nath, Visakha SPCA Founder and President. It was edited by Eric Rockey of Seattle, Washington, USA. Please visit our web site at www.visakhaspca.org
Thank you for your encouragement Pamela!

Your work is staggeringly beautiful in so many ways. I am delighted to see these videos. They tell me things that no words can, however much I read about your Sanctuary and your work. I am truly in awe. Blessings on your heads, as the old hymn goes.
