@MaxandFroggy Your horse should not run in circles when only one rein is pulled. If they do hold contact on that rein and release pressure when they stop and flex. It's called a 1 rein stop or see videos by Clint Anderson on flexing.

Where is the other rein? if you are just pulling the one rein woulden't the horse just go in circles? nice horse though:)

@lklik6 oh, it's nice to know that it can be performed without a bit. That has been my only real objection to this technique, was that it looked like it put quite a bit of pressure on the bars of the horse's mouth. I've only ever seen it done with a bit, but now that I know it can be done without, I'm much more open to it ^-^
