http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com In the hours and days before American citizens head to the polls, voters are being warned to be weary of various scams aimed at swaying decisions, confusing voters, keeping people from voting and tricking them into voting for certain candidates. In Virginia, over the weekend, authentic-looking bogus fliers went out informing voters that due to this years high estimated number of people headed to the polls, voting has been split into two days. Scam artists attempted to convince people that Tuesday, the official voting day for all parties, had been set aside specifically for Republican voters, while Wednesday had be allotted to Democratic voters. Another scam in a predominantly African-American area of Philadelphia, led potential voters to believe that they could be arrested at the polls for outstanding parking tickets or criminal convictions. It is expected that dirty ticks will only get worse during the final hours of voting on Tuesday as many are concerned about the vast number of first-time voters and youthful voters that are flocking to the polls for this monumental presidential election. This year, however, is no exception to previous years where deceptive scams and trickery have been used to confuse and deceive voters.
