I've also seen this, weird there's a few other orange looking stars too.

The star you are looking it is called Sirus. Its located in the constellation Canis Major. Its also known as the dog star. SIrus is close to the earth and is the brightest star in the night sky. Sirus flashes these colors when it gets closer to the horizon reflecting light off the earths atmosphere. That is why it flickers these colors.
