He has the right to lie, but he should have at least put it under fiction and said "bassed on a true story"

If the message of the book is about overcoming personal obstacles, then the specifics don't matter. If I said "yeah I overcame my alcoholism by breeding cats" when I actually did it by breeding dogs, it doesn't matter. If you are inspired by it, that's all that counts. Oprah has a lot of nerve calling out someone else on "fabrications" when so much of her own show was based on pseudoscience, quackery and new age woo.

Just read it without knowing it may have been fabricated...thought jesus there is tough and tough..really loved the book..did have some doubts but very small doubts...great book ...would love to konw whats shit and what isnt...well done James though great book nevertheless...it got me.....

I really don't care if all the things in the book are true or not, but I know that people do go through things like this or worst then this, and they get more f***ed up than this, it is what drugs and addiction do to you. James Frey is brave for writing and opening the hearts of so many and touching so many people with such a rare style of writing. I don't care if it is true, I just care that the book touched my heart and I will read it no matter if it's true or not. James Frey <3
