It's Going To Be Okay - Season 2 Episode 1 Part 1

*Over the next two years

Joe never gave up looking for Demi. Every waking hour that he spent outside of work and school, he used every resource he had to find her, but no matter how hard he tried he wasnt able to. Even though with every effort he had no luck, he didnt give up. He still loved her with every fibre of his being and wasnt about to give her up, no matter how long it would take. He graduated from high school a few months after Demi left, and is now attending a community college and working part time at the corner store not too far from home. Not too long after Demi left, however, Joe started drinking non stop, to help dull the pain of not being able to be with the woman he loved. He quickly became an alcoholic, following of course after his father. Not that he cared. Every night after searching for Demi and coming up empty handed, he would drink himself unconscious. Nick and Selena finally talked him into going to rehab, and he is now 13 months sober. He was given an ultimatum. To either keep drinking and lose his family and friends, or be a great uncle and godfather to his nephew. He chose the higher road and is as happy as he could be. On one final day of searching for Demi, he decided that there was no point anymore. He finally gave into the thought that if she wanted to be found she wouldve came back by now. Joes life at this moment is living at home with his brothers, Selena, and his nephew. He is finishing his second year of college and working part time. He was offered a scholarship at a school in California, and was given the summer to think it over

Demi had received her GED a couple of months after she was last in contact with Selena. Ever since that first email, she had often thought about re-contacting her, but decided it was best to sever all ties completely, to make it less painful all around. Soon after she got her GED she was accepted with a late admission to one of the best colleges in California. While she was going to school, she was still working almost full time as a waitress at the restaurant down the street from her apartment. Luckily enough, the school and restaurant were both within bus or walking distance from where she lived. During the two years, she had never stopped loving Joe. She felt bad for leaving him, but told herself that hes moved on already. Within trying to move on, she had had more than six sexual relationships, excluding her current boyfriend, of whom were either customers at the restaurant, or students she met at school. She didnt like what she was doing but to her it was the only way she could stop thinking of her past. For the last three months she had been in a steady relationship with one of her classmates, named Mitchell. He had already told her he loved her, but she wasnt able to say it back, knowing the only man she could ever love was Joe, but thought maybe someday, she could make herself say it back. She had been faithful in seeing a therapist once a week for the full two years. She had told her everything and even though sometimes it was really hard for her, in the end it was helping her move forward. She was also finishing her second year in college and was soon starting to work full time

Selena had a healthy baby boy, who was now 15 months old. They named him Devin Michael Jonas. They decided to try and use Demis middle name, which is Devonne, in a way. Nick and Selena were still engaged, but have yet to get married. They had both graduated along with Joe, luckily before the baby had been born. Selena was a stay at home mom, and Nick was going to college part time and working full time to support his fiancé and child. As soon as Nick was done school, they decided that they would take baby Devin on his first camping trip that summer. They were as happy as they could possibly be. Of course, Selena would be a lot happier if her best friend would have been there to be her first childs godmother, but where her life was at right now, she knew that she had nearly everything she had ever wanted.
