  • whats the difference between the IROC-Z and the camaro RS?

  • an IROC-Z is the best model for the year meaning its a V8 that has Tuned Port Injection it is a 5.7 liter and is 350 cubic inches and included upgrades such as Performance Suspension and 16-inch Z rated tires, The RS could be a V6 or V8, 5.0 liter(v8) or 2.8 or 3.1 (V6), with Throttle Body Injection, see wikipedia under

Third-generation Chevrolet Camaro for more information

  • how much would a decent (i know the car is old neway) true IROC-Z be? I want the best one i mean i like japanese cars nissan is my favorite company..Nissan in 1990 produced a engine that put out 205hp with a 2.0L 4cyl and this needs a BIG ass 5.7 naturally aspirated to make just a little more than that lol...then nissan came out with the same 2.0l in 1995 which made 255hp which i think is more than this..but anyways about this car yea

  • to be honest i have no clue but if i had to guess id say anywhere between 2500 to 5000 depending on where and who you get it from

  • @borderpatrol886 Not all IROC's are 350 5.7. my 86 IROC came out of the factory with the LB9 (305 5.0)

  • @SilentOneCorajuda13 you are correct, forgot about those

  • @SilentOneCorajuda13 i have a question for you. im fixing to buy a 86 iroc z z28 with a 305 tpi i was wondering how do i tell whether that engine is the l69 or lb9? cause i know both engines were avalable in 86 one of them produced like 215hp. i just dont know how to tell which engines in the car

  • Nice tennis racket

  • @americanman911 So your LT1, stock, dynoed where an LT4 does, stock? C'mon man. No way an LT1 puts down 305 at the wheels without headwork, cam swap and headers.

  • @squarecnix yeah but did your 2.0l have anywhere near the same amount of torque?nope.

  • @squarecnix your complaint about the Chevy V8 requiring 5.7L to make 200 HP in the 1980's is invalid. GM also had a 2.3L Quad 4 DOHC 15 valve 4 cylinder (introduced in 1988) which had almost 200 HP (191 hp between 1991-1993. 180 otherwise) on 2.3L, 4 cylinders, oh yea, and naturally aspirated. The Chevy V8 produced such low numbers at the time because it was restricted by emissions and using an outdated pushrod design. The engine is reliable so they still use the Chevy V8 today.

  • @squarecnix it makes more power than that in actuality its closer to 280 but it was always underrated for insurance purposes and emission but a dyno will tell you the real deal my lt1 trans am put down 305 to the wheels after 118000 miles completely stock and that was rated at 275 hp

  • do a search on the 1LE and G92 optioned IROC-Z, they were rare and badass for sure!

  • They got everything right on this car, but it could use some more horsepower. Mom's got an 04 Mustang and I was driving behind her and she was like "That thing looks f***ing scary! Not only that but it's loud too!" These cars do have the best looks and the best stance of any other car out there.

  • Sexiest looking car America ever made. . .Even now. Looks fast just standing still.

I had to settle for a 90' RS with a V6. . .Still plenty fun with the T-tops off and the CD player blaring Don Henly's "Boys of Summer". :-D
