National Jewish Health will held its signature Denver gala, the annual Beaux Arts Ball, on Feb. 21, 2009. The Hyatt Regency Denver was transformed into a sparkling Winter Wonderland with an entertainment troupe from New York proving live entertainment throughout the evening and the acclaimed live band from Los Angeles, Haute Chile, providing dance music to heat up the dance floor after a sumptuous dinner.
Denver's elite in white-tie attire will enjoy the delicious food, cocktails and entertainment from the East and West Coasts while raising funds to support the vital research, clinical and educational programs at National Jewish Health. Last year the gala raised more than $2 million.
Grand Marshals for the 2009 Beaux Arts Ball are Liane and Robert Clasen (Starz LLC), Susan and Ed Mueller (Qwest Communications) and Meghan and Evan Zucker (Black Creek Capital). Co-Chairs are Anne and Rich Baer. Committee members include Stephen W. Arent, John Bolger, Michael Faughnan, Margie and Tom Gart, Bei Lee and Bill Gold, Joshua Hanfling, Arlene and Barry Hirschfeld, Marty and Bill Hornaday, Susan Juroe and Michael Schonbrun, Megan and Mariner Kemper, Elizabeth and Steven Kris, Evi and Evan Makovsky, Anuschka and Zach Pashel, Susan and Eddie Robinson, Sheila and Hassan Salem, Richard Schierburg, Debbie and Don Silversmith, Kelly and Marc Steron, and Richard Tucker.
Qwest Communications is the presenting sponsor. Other major sponsors include Black Creek Capital, DraftFCG, MCD/Richmond American Homes Foundation, QualPro, Starz Entertainment, and the Tuchman Family Foundation.
