This is Lord Laro he had was to leave the country of his birth (Trinidad) for Jamaica to sing because the authorities had banned members of the protective services from singing calypso. Laro was a member of the T&T Army. King Wellington was a Police and he was disciplined many time for singing calypso, for the Carnival season of 1959 he was locked-down (confined to the barracks) because he was caught on stage singing calypso. Wellington made it possible for police officers to sing Calypso now.
