I'm a personal friend of Chris. I am as religious as they come and we're pretty decent work friends. The fact that no one is willing to take his bet is further proof that this is more of a scare tactic than anything else. These activists are trying to remove the free will out of the choice of redemption by scaring and forcing the hand of the general public. Just a thought for Christians who are against this.

I am a Christian, and I believe that we are all entitled to our opinions. No one knows whether God is real, or if we will all die tomorrow in a fiery cataclysm. All I can say is that Christianity is a religion built on faith, and that we DON'T know very much at all. Our holy book has been mistranslated twice, and we use it more as a guiding tool than a literal history. When it comes down to the bottom line, we are all in the same boat, Atheists, Christians, Muslim, jewish, even satanists.

@MuscleMaxZ1 I have never heard of any baptists ever doing any of those things. As with all religions and beliefs, there are those few crazy people that give everyone else the wrong idea. To whatever you were referencing, I agree with you. That is just crazy.

@SuperDeadpuddle Very well stated and point taken. However, I do NOT appreciate a belief system that encourages and/or applauds folks who give up their life savings, quit their jobs, spend down their kids" college funds, etc. all in the name of some 100% certainty (not) based on a belief that you admit can't be known for certain. I do not appreciate any belief system in which one has to rely on "faith" rather than evidence to back it up. All else I agree with you and thanks for the thought.

@shumble32 Discrimination against any group due to differing beliefs is wrong, no matter who radical ideas may seem. I am not referring to Atheists as radicals mind you, I am just giving examples. Beyond our beliefs, we are all just human, and some seek answers from a higher power, and others choose to take a realistic viewpoint. I find it refreshing that people can come up with their own opinions. I find that we all could learn something be having a talk with someone who disagreed with us
-
@SuperDeadpuddle - a very fair answer - and I trust you wouldn't approve of discrimination against atheists.

@nymbus7 To be honest with you, I am actually siding with nymbus on this one. These doomsday heralds are sick people, and they have no connection with my beliefs. Nymbus, You were right! Thank you for being a paragon of reason with these gibbering extremists.

@shumble32 It all comes down to what we want to believe personally. I respect you as an atheist, because I believe that to be a plausible thing. Something that you have to understand is that not all Christians are the evangelical, extremist, crazy people you see making doomsday prophicies. We are just people, who are flawed like everyone else. I choose to be a christian, because I was raised that way, but also because I left the religion, then came back after I experienced some things.

@MuscleMaxZ1 To believe that we know anything for certain is foolish. We do not know, but we believe. In terms of being in the same boat, we are all in the same one, as we are the same species. All I am saying really is that whether we share the same views or not, whether we choose to agree or not, we all have to coexist, and we all need to have a mutual appreciation for each others beliefs, even if we do not agree with them. We just need to respect each other no matter how different we are

@SuperDeadpuddle - so you're a Christian who doesn't know whether God is real? I don't know either, yet I'm an atheist.
Unfortunately, this is a sucker bet no matter how you slice it. If the world remains, they lose their car. If the world ends, you have absolutely nothing to offer them as a reward for winning the bet.
You'd lose your immortal soul and they'd gain their eternal reward with or without this bet.
There's no reason to take a bet you can't win even if you're 100% certain you are right. Not to mention the potential metaphysical repercussions a believer might face for betting on their immortal soul.

@robertmoneymaker999 At first it was bragging rights for them to prove they really mean it (I elaborate in further videos on my channel), but not long after this I added the stipulation that I would do work for a taker's church before the date and would receive the car afterwards.

saw this on facebook. Funny stuff. One of the comments was "how you gonna drive when there are no roads?".
Unfortunately I am no longer able to comment on their page but i would love to see someone troll the fuck out of their page when may 21 comes and goes.

@j0hnnytamb0rine They just blocked me from posting too. I kept calling out the administrators for preaching without taking the bet. It's a shame they blocked me, one of the readers probably would have taken me up on it.
