Is it just me, or are these two doing really well for their second time ground-driving as a pair? Kody (the 11 year old chestnut) is an experienced single driving horse but has never been in a multiple hitch before and Turbo (the 3 year old silver buckskin) hasn't even been put to the cart yet. In fact this was his third time with breeching and first time with the breastcollar! (He's worn both many times and was worked by himself before this video was taken to get him used to them.)
He was a bit concerned about not getting caught between his dominant buddy and the fenceline there at the end but figured it out with some encouragement and Kody is learning to concentrate on his own job and not what the youngster is doing. I could not believe how nice their first walk-trot transitions were!
Leia, they look great! That segment on the second trot where they are absolutely matched in stride shows an awesome promise. The transitions are very nice as well. OK, they are pretty awesome too! AND! Their walk even syncs up in stride! I have to grin at Kody, though. He has that: "First, I had to babysit him in the paddock, now I have to babysit him in harness" look.
These are going to be a killer pair!
