I understand why Smyth left. Every player the Oilers had signed/resigned got a signifigant raise. Smyth had taken the home town discount for a long time, and finally said he wanted a raise. Lowe shouldve signed him but was a dipshit. Smyth was signed for something like 2 mil more than what he asked from the Oilers. If you ask me he still gave us the hometown discount and we spat in his face

My favorite player coming back to my favorite team! Ryan Smyth back with the Oilers! Number 1 draft pick, and 3 solid defense men drafted this year. All we need is a better goalie and some time to season our new young players and the Oilers will be contenders again.
