One of JBG's best. And that is saying a lot.
In the last minute and one half.............., what was going on between Middleton, Beck and Powell is in a league of its own. Untouchable.

Jeff Beck has this curious but not unusual habit. He has a very short shelf life with the people he works with. You can only stand certain people for a short time. Seems one or two albums is the limit. gotta move on and get with some new blood. He being a musical craftsman is bothered a lot by the short comings of other people. Either musical or charachter wise. He fired his whole band once and quickly replaced them and went back on tour. It's the rock star EGO thing.

I saw this lineup twice..... I wish they would have made some more records. All great musicians.

The Rough and Ready album is one of my favorites even 35 plus years later. Not a bad moment on the entire album.
