Dave rarely makes mistakes on the guitar. I have seen probably six in my life, and most of them are from old concerts on youtube. I have seen him forget the words many times though, and he openly admits to that.

And no people, he is not "always high". Yes he smokes weed, yes he drinks, and I'm sure at some shows he's stoned before playin(I always see him holding a drink at the Gorge) BUT you have to know Dave. Even when he is sober he speaks that slowly, that awkwardly, and that randomly.

I remember receiving one Christmas, some years ago, a kind of unauthorized documentary on DMB (Plugging the Gap), and there were a few interviews with people around Charlotesville that actually knew Dave at one point, and one lady made a particular observation that I felt was poignant, and basically she stated that "he flirts with everyone, and i'm not meaning sexually, but he just flirts with life." I just thought it was an interesting and probably accurate view of Dave..

exceptional live!? he also plays with his martin and co with tim at radio city and im not sure which guitar he uses, bt every time he plays grey street its a different one . my point, however, is that dave isnt expectional live, THE WHOLE BAND IS AMAZING LIVE AND DURING RECORDINGS

ok, this is one of daves deepest songs. just listen to the words. not bad shit. concidering what is being produced and performed today with other bands. this is how yall must appreciate dmb as they move through the 2000s. they have been around...
