DIY GoPro Hero HD Pan Tilt - Home Made

would like to show you my DIY GoPro PanTilt to use in FPV or other aplications

Its very simple but trusty pan tilt. I didnt want to use an expensive or wood made pan tilt, and for safety reasons, I would like to use the GoPro housing to protect my camera from hard crashes so i decided to do this by my own.

I used two standard Servos (Metal Gear) and the standard flat mount that come with the GoPro. Better then words, you can check the video

Its a little heavy due the case (289grams with everything included - camera, housing, 2 servos), but if you plan to use this on a EZGlider, a Skywalker or Cularis, is perfect.

This should works also with any version of Gopro.

you could use smaller servos...metal geared. Those servos are huge. Awesome job still.

People... he is not kidding about using the cam housing for the added protection. I flew mine caseless to save weight and then that ONE fateful day came(see my video: 'The Best GoPro plane Crash on YouTube')and I busted the actual camera lense. Cost me $90 and an hour of work to repair. only good thing about it is that i intended to change lense(stock lens is TOO Fisheye for RC/FPV)anyway(to a 2.8)...but I did not intend to go about it the way I did. (KaRAAAAASH!!)

Genius!!!!!!!!!! that is such a cool mod on the existing case! Another guy did it and it has all kinds of extraneous crap attached to the camera. This is perfect for RC planes. I want to use my own GPro for FPV and was going to skip pan/tilt till I saw this. Thanks for posting this. Can you do a video of more specific tips on how ans what to use?
