Here's a bit of a different shot I haven't brushed up on yet, setting my camcorder and tripod within 20 feet of the tracks as CSX Q359 comes barreling into the quiet town of West Newton, PA. I made this stop to West Newton again to see these old and beautiful B&O CPL's standing one last time before they're gone. As they will be replaced by December 7th. The signals were built in 1920 and they lasted unit the year 2009, at the age of 89. So with this recent trip from West Newton, we get a look at these Colored Positioning Lights one last time before they're gone.

  • Yea unfortunately so, the signals are 89 years old and CSX wishes to remove them with the newer signals so they are controlled by dispatch, and not someone within the close proximity of these.. Well they may be going bye-bye here, but there are plenty left out in Philadelphia, Maryland, regional railways, and Ohio. They are still a few left on the rented CSX P&W sub, which is currently operated by AVR regional railway

  • Haha nice

  • I agree

  • Nice power on that one.

  • Yea your right! LOL. My $400 everio is actually a little Imax camera that had cost me 10,000$!
