  • You are wrong. I liked it. Gina is brilliant. And Soderbergh avoided gimmicks.

  • Dude, how could you possibly hate Che? It's one of his best films. Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the fight scenes in this film, I think it has to do with the sound mixing. The punches and kicks just don't land with the same impact as they do in a Bourne film.

  • Great review! I agree with you that the fighting is great- but acting is mediocre and plot is boring (as well as confusing!!!) and oh God, the awkward music! I almost walked out and I only do that if a movie really, really, really sucks. I loved most about Haywire that a female is lead in an action and she could really kick ass!

    P.S. Real cool channel :)

  • Generally a Soderbergh fan. Don't know what I was really expecting from this one - the trailer makes it look like its action-packed and while the fight scenes are easily the best part (and for the most part, realistic) and the backstory is vaguely interesting, it kinda lacks somethin. Plus, Ewan McGregor was miscast. Contagion was much better.

  • I kind of agree with you how Soderbergh is hit or miss. I didn't like Ocean's 11 (watched a bit of it and found it boring), but I liked Erin Brokovitch. I've never seen this movie though, but it's just one of those films that I'm kinda neutral about seeing. It looks interesting, but I don't know if it would be worth seeing...if that makes sense.

  • Hey thanks for saying that my channel is awesome, i'm definitely subscribing to u!

  • Let me start by saying how well lit this video is. I'm going to have to disagree with you on some of your points but I agree with how phenomenal the fight sequences were. I think Gina's debut was promising and I'm looking forward to her future work. Having said that, I think you're both intelligent and articulate and you put across your points well.

  • Thanks for your views on the film so we will give it a miss.

  • I have'nt seen Haywire yet, but I agree with you about Soderbergh being hit or miss. I love some of his films like Oceans Eleven, Sex Lies and Videotape, Out of Sight, and Traffic but I hated some of his films like Oceans Twelve, Contagion, Che, and The Informant. Great review though

  • Wow. I thought the direction and music were some of the best points of the film. The atmosphere felt great, I fully enjoyed the Mallory character (though not as much as I did Lisbeth Salander, who I thought was KIND OF similar), and was pleasantly surprised by Ms. Carano's acting. Meh.
