  • FINALLY! I get to see it! @.@ I've gotten to the VERY end twice now, and it ass-fucked itself, even with the patch and DOS-box, so that I had no cursor anymore and couldn't attack Ad-Avis. I've been trying to see this for YEARS. Definitely the best game series ever made. ^_^ I've played all 5 at least 3 times each. <.<; Wow...that's lame. XD

  • Oh man, I've heard of that glitch! Thankfully I never encountered it. :O But that must totally suck.

  • I always had trouble maxing my stealth skill as well :P

  • It was really difficult in 3, and even more annoyingin 4. D: Me and my brother could always max it in 1 and 2, but we could never push it all the way to 4.

  • The Gypsy Davy reminds me of Gaston, the huntsman from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, only with an honorable streak.

  • EPIC!

It's been ages since I've played this game (one of my personal favorites of the old Sierra games), thank God for Youtube and the internet! ^_^

  • the people in this game sure are ugly

  • When you jump out of the bone cage dont click the hand on the cage and select jump instead select jump from the character menu and click outside the cage.

  • The patched floppy version's more stable in my experience, but I could never get the sound effects to work (MIDI synth works fine). Might be outdated sound drivers.

Sounds work for the CD Version but it's buggier in places. Speech cuts off at higher CPU Cycle settings (keep them at 5000-5500). There's a puzzle whose solution changes drastically due to a timing bug--even in DOSBox with patch applied. The CD Version is also almost impossible to complete without the patch.

  • Tips For Running This:

1: There are a ton of patches for this game. If you know how to use google, do so. Restart the game from scratch after patching it, its fixes often won't affect saves done before patching.

2: Use DOS-Box (google for it). Reportedly, version 0.65 works best for this game, 0.70 is also good. If your DOS skills are rusty, download a frontend like D.O.G. or D-Fend. If using the CD version, mount the CD drive as well.

  • SO, anyone know how I could play this game without it cluster-fucking itself? ANy patches anyone knows of?
