PublishAmerica is evil!!!!!

PA screwed me over with the not correcting the errors that I have made and sent to them. I have proof that I've sent in my corrections and they are lying to save their asses and to get money out of me. Which WONT WORK!

what i mean by "paying the fee" I mean the shipping fee. By sending your manuscript to an actual publisher does cost a small price to have it shipped to them. That's what I meant by that.

I was stung by PublishAmerica also. I wrote a children's picture book and they priced it at $19.95 plus $6 in shipping for a total of $25.95. Similar books on Amazon & other book sights is $9.50. The so called publisher doomed my book to failure. PublishAmerica destroys the dreams of authors!

I checked it out and they have it listed in lots of places; strangly enough, I found it was listed in Australian book stores more than anywhere else. Well hopefully some of those royalties will start to trickle into your pocket. I noticed that the price did not seem too high; the price ranged from $10 - $18. You ought to test them and buy a book from Amazon and see if you get a royalty, that way you know if they are keeeping track of the sales and forwarding all your money.

Would they publish the worst book ever written?

they got a book that purposely didnt make sense, just random words typed together, and still proceded to accept it and offer a "contract"

I signed with them almost a year ago and it's been a nightmare. Not only is my book way way way over priced but the manuscript they got from me was perfect-the author copy I got looked like a 4th grader had typed it. I'm still trying to get out of my contract with them. The only person they want to sell my book to-is me. I can't afford it even with their discounts and I can't get bookstores to carry it either.

Good video! I've heard so many horror stories about this pseudo-publisher. I would just like to mention something though... You tell authors to "pay the fee" and get a real publisher. Contrary to what many people think, however, real publishers do not charge you ANYTHING to publish your work. In fact, they pay you. You should NEVER pay to get your work published.
