Wow, your explanation is so simple. Thank you. How do I access the Free Means Test? I thought it was a form I can fill out online but I have to print it and .... how does that test work?

Wonderful and informative James. I am filing a chapter 7 bankruptcy with a past judgement and resulting garnishment of wages. Will chapter 7 still be successful to discharge my debt? No property involved just left rental before lease was up. Secured, unsecured? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks, "melly918". Can't give ya' specifics (because your BK may have something that you're not mentioning), but, as a generalization, Chapter 7 is created to stop wage garnishments on past judgments. You may want to go to your local "Legal Library" (near your county courthouse) and ask for a book on "How To File Chapter 7 Bankruptcy" (in addition to using our software for the paperwork). The explanation specific to your case will be found quickly and clearly there. -James
