Left 4 Dead 2D Edition

A remake of Valve's zombie shooter done as a sprite based 2D side scrolling platformer/shooter. This was a 2 month long project (albeit only about 3 to 4 weeks of actual coding and design). The original plan was to have it as a top down shooter with more of a survival aspect to it but we decided to make it a 2D platformer because the multiplayer feature seemed to fit in better that way.

This is a short clip of gameplay footage and although we already submitted it as a gold release for a school project (we being a group of 3) I decided to start working on an XNA version of the game (the video shows the C++/DirectX version). This was done back in May/June of 2009.

Sorry for the lakc of updates. I'm still working on several user side tools which will help users create their own content, although I'm lacking artist to help which slows things down. If anyones an artist and would like to help, please feel free to let me know :)
