can you help me pls, i am trying to change a nokia 5320 lcd screen and it doesn't light up. what i am doing wrong? it just have a small connector so no soldering is needed

I replaced the screen a couple of times. The screen is dim and flickers. It starts to get hot then you can not see the display at all. Any suggestions?
