  • I never even considered that G'mork might somehow represent an evil religious force. I think it's pretty bleeding clear that he's meant to stand in for people's general lack of imagination. He pretty much outright SAYS that, for crying out loud. Maybe there's some religious connotations, I concede, but I hate it when folk try to force their spiritual views into just about anything.

  • @Tryzon True, but there will always seem to be religious connotations to anything that is presented as good vs evil.

  • I think it's funny how people try to shoehorn their religion into everything.....

  • no this movie is based on a book and and what i said was true

  • That thing used to creep me out so bad.

  • This stuff looked so real back then although they were just puppets. Now we have computer animation which makes it look even faker O_o

  • I used to be terrified of gmork, now I realize that the Anamatronics weren't good and the scary effect has gone

  • @Tryzon uh dude

    he represents Satan

  • "...Because people who have no hopes are easy to control, and whoever has the control, has the power." Sounds like what is going on today. ;^)

  • @deveraux009 I think G'mork does work for Satan like a demon sort of. He said he was a servant for the "Power behind the Nothing". This "Power" can be thought of as Satan and the Nothing is more like a result of Satan's Influence during a particular period in human history, which just happened to be the time that Bastian was reading the Neverending Story.

Who knows, maybe greed, selfishness and Hedonism was corrupting modern society and dumbing down the general public, loosing their imagination.

  • @deveraux009 lol don't waste time arguing with religious people
